MAHARLIKA: What’s in a name?

Change is progressive. We cannot deny the fact that today our nation needs total change and transformation. There is crisis in every aspect of life. Most of our countrymen have been deprived of their basic necessities such as food, clothing, shelter, and medicine. How much more on the human rights, employment, social standing, economics, education, etc. to name a few. To one long forgotten aspect is the enrichment of our cultural heritage and the right access to the origin of our country’s name.

If we get back into our roots, there is a connecting link from the past that must be patched up and resolve the mystery that has remained a question of our own identity.

Where do we start? We begin from the consciousness that has been stocked up and has to be awaken.

It is a big dilemma to compare our nation to a child being born out of nowhere, no trace of roots, nor a sense of belonging to a family you are worth identifying for.

What was in the past that our forefathers have made to believe? We have been under the many colonial influences and 500 years under the Spanish regime is a no joke. The very first in the lineage of our forefathers who knew the truth were silenced and was forced to keep a lie. They were guided by fears, punishment and even threat with death. Were they forced to believe that they have gained freedom? That even our heroes who fought bloody battles, did not have a chance to rediscover our past, and were forced to shout freedom under the name Philippines?

As we try to turn the pages of history back in time, after series of bloody battles, humiliation, unjust punishment, women exploitation, economic sabotage, etc, there is nothing worth dying for. Our forefathers being torn to pieces, made them hearts of stones, and became morally degraded. Are we still proud to be called a Filipino at such?
THE TRUTH BEHIND THE NAME PHILIPPINES

There were other countries who fought for changing their names. The former Chosan now Korea, Formosa now Taiwan, Dutch Indies now Indonesia, Siam now Thailand, Cambodia now Kampuchea, French Indochina now Vietnam, Vientianne now Laos, East Pakistani now Pakistan, Ceylon now Sri Lanka, Burma now Mynmar, same with Burkina acquired their identity in their names and continuously rising up and progressing in time.

Controversies in changing the name Philippines has long been a political issue, which should have been put to a greater emphasis on the cultural heritage rather than just politicizing.

If we are to scrutinize the pages in history, King Felipe II of Spain is such a disgrace!
The Spanish colonization made us to accept the name Philippines in behalf of King Felipe II of Spain. It’s a big question as to why none of our historians were able to research and expose the truth behind the barbaric personality of King Felipe II of Spain.

The truth is, there were no written proofs that will suffice Filipinas or Philippines as a legitimate name, as passed in decrees and approved in law or any other form of acceptance of its name in the name of Prince Felipe of Asturias, which later became King Felipe II of Spain.

King Felipe of Spain is not a pure Spanish blood. His parents and his grandfather is a Flemish from Hapsburg Austrian. His grandmother, Princess Juana is a Spanish. King Felipe II is son of first cousins which is a condemned practice in Roman Catholic religion.

Felipe I, King Felipe II’s grandfather is a traitor. He forcibly got the throne of his own wife, Princess Juana, the true Queen of Spain in 1504. Because of this, Princess Juana got mentally ill and died. Their son Carlos grew up outside of Spain and never learned any single Spanish word even until he became the King of Spain.

It has been recorded and exposed in history that King Felipe II has been engaged in illicit sex and immoral relationships among his women servants inside the palace.

His first approved law after his being crowned the king, is the auto da- fe or burning of thousands of Moricos or Moors tied up in posts. Moors are Muslims Arabic speaking people of Andalucia, a province of Spain and according to King FelipeII, were heretics or enemies of Christians, King Felipe II is brutal and has ruled out inquest by death all innocent victims living in Spain. The same rule follows here in the Philippines during the time when the three Filipino Christian priests Burgos, Gomez and Zamora was put to death by guillotine.

Both the father and son tandem Carlos V and King Felipe II acquired wealth by theft from the Vatican in Rome. Because of this King Felipe II were excommunicated from the Catholic Church in 1552 during the time of Pope Pablo IV.

During this time, thousands of Protestants of Holland and other parts of Europe were beheaded. King Felipe II ruled that all Protestants were heretics and demons. This event was believed to be the worst scenario ever in Europe.

King Felipe II acquired a very infectious, sexually transmitted venereal disease called syphilis. Occurred in the whole of his body, with sores and pus, emitting bad and foul smell. This gave him too much pain and suffering. During the last days of his life, the disease spread rapidly that caused difficulty in coordinating muscle movements, paralysis, numbness, partial blindness and memory loss that lead to his death in 1598.

In 1898, the Philippines got her liberty from Spain during the 300th year of King Felipe II’s death, commemorating and upholding a name of negativity and an immoral king where our country were named after.

WHY MAHARLIKA

The name Philippines was named after an immoral and cruel King. In it carries a negative Karma according to Spiritualists while MAHARLIKA, is noble and has spiritual essence.

Prabhat Rainjan Sarkar (Shrii Shrii Anandamurtii)
The late Prabhat Rainjan Sarkar, an Indian Philosopher, Spiritual teacher, a Philologist, a Mahayogi and born clairvoyant once revealed before he died, and long before the downfall of communism and uprising in Russia, the center of Communism, that Communism will be shortlived. True enough, communism has ended, According to him, our country will undergo a tremendous transformation once our country’s name be changed to Maharlika. This country will gained economic stability and will be the center of Spirituality in the whole world. The same were mentioned by Pope Pablo VI former head of the Roman Catholic group, that this country will be named the “New Jerusalem”.

Majapahit Empire

During the Majapahit Empire which is entirely part of Southeast Asia. And the capital surrounding the islands of Sulu, the name Maharlika is respected by the Datus and Raha, and all the leaders of the society. The name also empowers strength, who won not only in battles, but in morals and love among people.

The name Maharlika is an ancient word derived from the word MAHA, a Sanskrit word and local name word LIKHA.

MAHA means great, noble, honored like Mahat, Mahatma, Mahayana, Mahabharata, etc.
LIKHA means being, creation.

MAHARLIKA means that which is a great and noble, honored being. Another fit meaning for this is a small container filled with noble beings.

Scholars of Indons of Yayasan Kawi Sastra Mandala Foundation, a group of researchers of the history of Asians before the invasion of the South, have acquired objectives to correct those under the foreign invaders. They also believed that the word MERDEKA in Indons, which means freedom, is derived from the Sanskrit Mahardhika, originated from Maharlika.
WHY MAHARLIKA HAS BEEN ASSOCIATED WITH THE FORMER PHILIPPINE PRESIDENT FERDINAND E. MARCOS

The former Philippine President Ferdinand E. Marcos does not own the word “ Maharlika” nor does he have any special role in filing the law in changing the name of the Philippines into Maharlika, with efforts from former Assemblyman Ben Bautista of Davao and the former Senator Eddie Ilarde. No wonder Marcos is a very intelligent student during his College days at the University of the Philippines and that probably he found out the true meaning of Maharlika so he named after his WWII guerilla unit. Same others who named the Maharlika Hi-way, Maharlika Village, Maharlika Charity wards, maharlika civic Center, etc. This proved to be that Maharlika is indeed a noble, honored word. Thers is no reason to associate Maharlika to the former president, nor not to allow use. This is purposely done to put back what was lost in time and should be highly regarded.

A writer once commented that the word Maharlika is derived from Mahaliunga, which means an image of the big male organ, phallus, used by Hindus as symbol of fertility. Noted that the word Liunga to Lika is far different in sound and in use.It is not related in any way to the male reproductive organ to a word that is respected and noble.

IS CHANGING OF NAME TO MAHARLIKA AN ASSURANCE OF ECONOMIC STABILITY AND NO CRIME RATES

In whatever circumstances, we named names because it is important. In doing so, we foresee bright things to come. That’s why we deserve, to change and choose to have a good strong, noble, moral names. Isnt it obvious that our parents choose to have our names, named after saints, scholars, persons of great personality, famous and excellent. Does anyone chose to have a Hitler or Judas as name? Does it make sense? Straightforwardly, when we choose to change Philippines to Maharlika, it is sure to start a new beginning. Transform consciousness, beliefs, behaviour that is righteous, noble and great, that we truly deserve, to change our economy, politics, laws and morals and in every aspect in society.

CHANGING NAMES WILL MEAN A BIG BUDGET FOR THE GOVERNMENT

Many have died during the past in the name of the Philippines. They died hopelessly in the outcry for democracy using Philippines. They seek fairness and upliftment in the society. Sadly, we were branded as thieves, corrupt, prostitutes, servants, criminals, mountains of garbage, red taped, kidnappers, all negative names. Whatever we do to escape from this horrible names, we remain the same. It is but necessary to erase and change the image that has been with us since time immemorial. Whatever cost we need to make the change possible, can not take an overnight result nor surpass the billions of taxes paid by the taxpayers that isonly being stolen by some government officials.

People do react why the need to change the name Philippines to Maharlika. There is no purpose of destroying the friendly and diplomatic ties between Spain and Philippines. We acknowledge the good side done by Spain and I putting the cross as symbol of Christianity. We pay respect to the many culture they have introduced to us, their music, art, language, food, and art of cooking, dance etc.

But on the other hand, we can no longer tolerate the true negative vibrations that King Felipe II has left in his name that keeps on reflecting in time in our country.
It has been said many times that the only permanent thing is change. We should think positively of the effect as a whole. The good instead of suffering, Let us find our way to live a life that is free from hatred, corruption, maltreatment , abuse, etc.

The truth must prevail. The reality of the history needs to be known to all. Reality will set us FREE. The future is very bright.

MYSTICISM

The attempt of man to attain the ultimate reality of things and experience direct communion with the highest. Mysticism maintains the possibility of a relationship with God, not by means of revelation or the ordinary religious channels, but by introspection and meditation in conjunction with a purified life, culminating in the awareness that the individual partakes of the divine nature. Mysticism has been identified with pantheism by some authorities, and many pantheists have been mystics. However, mysticism is not tied to any particular philosophical or theological perspective.

Mysticism tends to differ from public religion, which emphasizes a worshipful submission to the deity and the ethical dimension of life, while mysticism strains after the realization of a personal union with the divine source itself. The mystic desires to be as close to God as possible, part of the divine essence itself, whereas the ordinary devotee of most religious systems merely desires to walk in God’s way and obey his will.

KABUTE (MUSHROOM)

PRANA

There are many misconceptions about prana and pranayama. Prana does not specifically mean air or breath, though many people interpret the word in this way. The word pranayama has far wider implications than the usual definition - 'breath control'. It is important to understand these terms, even on an intellectual level, so one knows exactly what is the purpose of pranayama.

RELIGIOUS AND TRADITIONAL ASPECTS
In the ancient scripture called the Satapatha Brahmana it is written: "Prana is the body of the Self (supreme consciousness)." In other words, prana is the vehicle or the medium of consciousness. In this sense prana can be equated with the Hindu concept of prakriti, meaning the manifest constituents of the universe in the form of matter and energy. From modern science we know that matter is really no more than an expression of energy. As such we can say that prana means energy. This prana or energy, whether it is the mind, body, matter or any form of energy, acts as the medium for carrying consciousness. Without prana,  consciousness would be totally unable to express itself in the phenomenal world to manifest myriads of life forms in the universe. Prana is the active aspect of existence and consciousness is the all-pervading, inactive and witnessing principle. For life to exist both must be present.

In other scriptural texts of India there are various other definitions, but all of them point to basically the same concept. In the Chandogya Upanishad prana is said to be the internal matrix, and vayu (loosely defined as air but actually also meaning life force, energy, wind), the external matrix of energy. In this context we see this as merely a division of the same energy, the prana here being designated as that energy which lies within the body and makes up the mind-body complex at its various levels of subtlety. It is this aspect with which we are interested during the practice of pranayama.

In tantric and various other scriptures, energy or prana is symbolized by the all powerful divine mother Shakti or Kali and various other goddesses. It is regarded as the feminine aspect of existence, the fertile ground on which consciousness (represented by various gods, notably Shiva) can take root, grow and manifest in the universe. Shakti or prana is the womb of existence. The main theme of tantra is the unification of Shiva and Shakti so that consciousness can express itself perfectly through the medium of energy, prana. Shiva is the sight and Shakti is the eve: Shiva is the hearing and Shakti is the ears. Prana and its control is integral in all these systems, but it is known by different names. Was the concept of prana known by other cultures and religions? The answer is emphatically yes, for the principle is not man made; it is a basic aspect of existence. And so it should not surprise us that it is widely mentioned in the various cultures and religions of the world. Let us consider a few examples.

In Christianity much significance is given to the wine and bread served during Holy  Communion. There is a great symbolical meaning behind this ceremony though few people realize it. Bread is the bread of life and that is exactly what it symbolizes - energy, prana or the life principle of the universe. Wine symbolizes spiritual enlightenment, the intoxicating bliss of all knowing consciousness. This is why these two items are taken and eaten in the ceremony: their combination represents the unity of the two aspects of existence, namely the union of consciousness with energy. There are large numbers of other references to  prana in the Bible. For example, in Corinthians (10:17) it is said: "For we being many are one bread and one body, for we are all partakers of that one bread." Bread here does not mean prana or energy, but means consciousness. In other words the passage can be read as follows: "For we being many (humans) are really one consciousness and one body (of prana or universal energy), for we are all partakers of that one consciousness." This clearly shows the agreement between yogic, Christian and ancient Indian concepts.

In ancient China the concept of universal energy was prevalent. Instead of prana they called it QI (chi). Like yogic thought, they had a very high and unitive understanding of man and his relationship with the universe. They considered that the whole universe is permeated with energy and that each of us being intimately linked to the universe is a powerhouse of energy. According to the Chinese, the universal energy is comprised of two continually and mutually interacting principles called yin and yang. These create matter and all its  transmutations as well as manipulate all the various forms of energy. The manifested universe  was seen as a harmonious whole and subject to change through the ceaseless interplay of  the complementary and eternally changing yin and yang. Yin and yang can be considered as  the negative and positive forces, the two poles of the manifested whole. The energy or  prana of the universe is symbolized by a diagram (in yoga we would say a yantra or mandala)  in which the yin and yang aspects are depicted as forming the two interdependent and  interlocking parts of the whole, each containing within itself the germ or potential of the  other. These principles are encompassed or held together by the Tao - Consciousness.

Be careful not to consider this as mere theory. This very concept is utilized in the system of acupuncture, which was practised in China thousands of years ago and continued in present day China. The success of this system of curing diseases depends on the concept of yin and yang. If the yin and yang principles did not have some approximation to the actual situation regarding energy in the universe and in the human body then acupuncture would be incapable of achieving the good results that it does. Even modern materialistic China has had to accept the ancient theory to explain the practical results that they obtain in millions of patients, with a wide variety of diseases.

Throughout history there has been a wide acceptance of the universal energy, prana. Modern science has also postulated that the basic substance of the infinite cosmos around us is energy. In this respect science, yoga and other ancient systems have agreed with each other. It is the nature of prana in the body that has caused disagreement between  traditional thought and science; though in very recent research, science is again confirming  experimentally what the yogis and ancient sages knew intuitively, namely that the physical  body is enveloped and controlled by an energy or pranic body.

PSYCHIC ABILITIES

Animal Telepathy - The ability to communicate with (but not command or influence) various kinds of creatures. Think "pet psychic".

Astral Projection - The ability to leave one's body and travel in spirit to another location.

Aura Reading - The ability to see the energy fields that emanate from living beings. Psychic ability can often reveal itself through the seeing of auras.

Automatic Writing - Writing through the subconscious mind without conscious thought, or through the guidance of an outside intelligence.

Channeling - Associated with mediums, this is the ability to act as a channel or vessel for an outside intelligence.

Clairaudience - Put simply, this type of ability is used to hear what is "inaudible". For example, someone with this ability could be a thousand miles way and "hear" a loved one's cry of distress.

Clairvoyance - Usually confused with Precognition, this ability actually has much more in common with "Remote Viewing", True clairvoyance is not the abilitly to see into the future, but the psychic ability to see visions of that which is hidden or far away.

Clairsentience - In this instance the psychic has an insight or "knowing" of and a hidden or forgotten fact.

Divination - A broad term that includes fortune telling, precognition, prophesy, and other methods used in an effort to predict the future.

Dowsing - Also known as "water witching", dowsing involves the use of a rod, sticks, or pendulum to locate water or lost objects.

Empathy - The talent to sense the needs, drives, and emotions of another. As with Aura Reading, psychic ability can often reveal itself through the development of empathy.

E.S.P. - Extra Sensory Perception is the awareness of information about events external to the psychic that are not gained through the senses and not deducible from previous experience. Often used to describe clairvoyance, precognition, telepathy, etc...

Intuition - Similar to clairsentience, this is the power or faculty of attaining direct knowledge or cognition without rational thought or inference.

Levitation - The ability to cause one's body to hover off the ground. One of the more well-documented cases of levitation involved St. Theresa of Avila during the 16th century.

Mind Over Body - Suppressing or mentally satisfying the need for water, food, or sleep. There is some debate over whether this is actually a psychic ability since many of those who are associated with this trait (monks, yogis, mystics, etc...) are not generally called "psychics".

Precognition - Quite simply, "knowing the future". However, since time is a dynamic construct, no one psychic can ever know every detail about the future. Usually this ability refers to knowing general outcomes of specific courses of action, with occasional flashes of detailed insight.

Psychometry - Also known as "object reading", psychometry enables a psychic to pick up on psychic impressions (vibrations) left on an object by someone connected with it. Someone with this ability could use an unfamiliar object to reveal much about its owner.

Pyrokinesis - The ability to start fires with one's mind.

Telekinesis - Also known as psychokinesis, the ability to move objects with one's mind.

Telepathy - The ability to communicate mind-to-mind with another.

MEDITATION

Padmasana (Lotus Posture)
Meditation is a technique which has evolved over thousands of years, with its earliest known roots in the practices of "TANTRA." Tantra was first introduced in India, come 7000 years ago by the great yogi Sadashiva. It was designed to be an all round science of life, covering every aspect of personal and social development. The word "Tantra" actually means "that which liberates from crudeness (ignorance," and hence its practices were based on a systematic and scientific way to take individuals from their state of ignorance to one of spiritual illumination. Its practices were not limited only to meditation and yoga, but rather were extended to include the field of arts, music, literature, medicine, dance, environmental awareness - in short, it was a 'holistic' approach to life.
